What software should I use?

This depends your businesses needs and your budget. Thanks to technology there are some great software options available that have demystified the accounting process. I am happy to give you some pointers and demo different softwares upon request.

How much does it cost?

This really depends on your needs and what you want to accomplish. I offer time based billing and will talk with you about your budget before I start. Then I will keep you updated as we progress so there are no surprises.

Do you offer fixed fee packages?

Yes I do for my long term clients who are willing to pay via direct debit on a regular basis. First I will have a chat with you to ascertain your bookkeeping needs and to brainstorm how we can work most efficiently together. Then I will provide you with an estimated regular fixed fee and a guideline of the processes that need to be followed to ensure that I get the information I need to give you the results you desire on time. This fee will be reassessed after an intial trial period to ensure that we are a good fit to work together and I can complete the scope of work within the timeframe required.

How long does it take?

This can be dependent on a number of factors. The extent of the work required, the health of your software file, the speed in which you provide me with information and respond to my queries. Often I do not know the extent of mistakes hidden in a new client file until I start working within it. I will keep you up to date with the time taken as I progress. All regular, ongoing clients work is scheduled in advance and delivered on time provided you send me your information and answer any resulting queries in a timely manner.

Are we a good fit?

I typically work with small to medium businesses who employ 1 to 20 staff and have 2 or less accounts staff. I have worked with IT consultants, lawyers, engineers, construction companies and and multitude of different trades. I do not work with the hospitality industry but can happily refer you to another trusted bookkeeper who can help.

I find that communication and a willingness to learn and continually improve is the key to my successful client relationships. To meet deadlines and process your accounts efficiently and accuately, I require my clients to respond to queries in a timely manner and send me their information via a Receipt Bank or Hubdoc app. Clients simply use their phones to take photos of documents or forward supplier emails to these apps for me to process or refer to. The process is secure, simple, easy to use and I will guide you through from setup to use. A willingness to use technology and adapt to new ways of doing things, means the process quickly becomes smooth and efficient, creating a win-win scenario for both you and me.

I am a honest and trusted professional bound by the code of conduct of the Tax Practitioners Board and am not interested in working with clients who are knowingly not doing the right thing.
